Marianne  Weinberg-Benson received a B.F.A. in 1969 from the University of Florida in Gainesville in painting and printmaking. In 1990 she received an M.F.A. from the University of Georgia in Athens in ceramics. She has produced many pieces of public art for libraries and parks in several cities, including Decatur, Atlanta, and Alpharetta, and her work is on display at the Medical Center MARTA station in Sandy Springs. She has worked as a professor at Kennesaw State University, in Cobb County.

Her porcelain piece Wisps (1988) is part of Georgia’s State Art Collection.
