Patricia Hetzler spent more than thirty-five years teaching art to children and adults in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and in Atlanta. She was trained as a painter at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and the Arrowmont School in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and had an extensive background in sculpture, papermaking, bookmaking, and the textile arts. Hetzler was awarded a grant from the Georgia Council for the Arts in 1996. She died on September 14, 2010.
