Richard Loehle was born in 1923. After living in Chicago, Illinois, for a time, the couple moved in 1967 to Decatur, where they lived for the rest of their lives. Richard Loehle specialized as an illustrator, fine artist, and portrait artist. His illustrations appeared on the covers of sports magazines, and Amazing Stories, as well as in Reader’s Digest. He died in Decatur in 2011.
