Dahlonega-based artist Tommye McClure Scanlin has been weaving tapestries since 1988. She is a professor emerita of the University of North Georgia, and her work has been exhibited in multiple venues across the country, including Berry College in Rome, Piedmont University in Habersham County, and the Visions Museum in San Diego, California. Her fiber pieces Cantaloupe and Coleus are part of Georgia’s State Art Collection.
